Breaking 300

On Monday, I had an appointment for my second fill. I had my first fill on January 17, and since then, I've lost 10 lbs.! I weighed in on Monday at 297 lbs.

As many of you know, I've been hovering right around 300 hundred since the surgery. For weeks, I'd step on the scale and it would read anything from 300 to 305. It took a lot of hard work, but I'm finally below 300 lbs. again. I haven't weighed less than 300 lbs. since I graduated from high school, so you can imagine my excitement and happiness to reach this milestone.

People say it all the time, but exercise really is the key to weight loss. Of course you can lose weight by eating a low-fat, low-calorie diet everyday, but the realities of life do not always afford you this luxury. It's very expensive to eat healthy in today's economy. I made a major change in the choices I made in food back in December when I had my surgery. Could I eat even healthier? Of course, but I also try to work on the self-control aspect of my weight loss journey.

After my liquid diet ended, I was working out sporadically. Now that I have a regular workout schedule and a rigorous plan with my trainer, I can definitely see the results. I have to wear a belt with all of my pants or else they are constantly falling down. I also look better in my clothes. My rolls are still here, but they are less pronounced in my current clothes. I can wear dresses I wouldn't dare wear without Spanx before without them. And overall, I feel good on the inside. I was actually upset when I sprained my knee and the doctor told me I couldn’t exercise for two weeks. I sat out one week, but I was back in the gym the second week doing upper body training and low-impact cardio.

I have another fill scheduled for March 17, and then I'll go to a schedule of a fill every three months. I can't wait to see the results. Zac (my trainer) and I are working hard to get me Beyonce fine! :o)
